Her story

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Carmen studied radio, TV and film production at Clark Atlanta University, where she interned at Def Jam South. After graduation, with no job offers, she took free TV production classes at a local station and began producing lifestyle programs for Comcast Community TV.

She built what became N’Style Atlanta from there: a team of on-camera correspondents interviewing everyone from Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee to Jeezy and Janelle Monáe, and celebrity events that helped shape Atlanta’s red-carpet culture.

Today N’Style Atlanta is a media company with its own reality series on FOX SOUL, the celebrity interview show Jordan With The Juice, and a YouTube channel with more than 8.1 million views. Carmen tells her personal story, including the losses that shaped her, in her book Gloria.
