What do you get when you mix the President of the United States, the Prime Minister of the UK, a global conspiracy, and a whole lot of testosterone? Heads of State—the explosive action-comedy coming to Prime Video on July 2, 2025—just in time to light up your summer.
Idris Elba and John Cena reunite for the first time since The Suicide Squad, but this time, they’re not trying to kill each other… well, not exactly. Elba stars as UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke and Cena plays U.S. President Will Derringer—two world leaders locked in a bitter (and very public) rivalry that threatens to unravel their nations’ so-called “special relationship.”
But when a deadly foreign adversary crashes the party and turns both men into targets, they’re forced to do the unthinkable: work together. And if you think that sounds like a recipe for disaster, you’re not wrong—but it’s also ridiculously fun.
Teaming up with MI6’s finest, played by the ever-sleek Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Clarke and Derringer go rogue in a globe-trotting mission to save the world, armed with sharp suits, sharper insults, and action sequences that would make the ’90s proud.

Directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry, Nobody), Heads of State delivers the nostalgia of golden-age buddy comedies with a modern, adrenaline-fueled twist. Think Rush Hour meets Air Force One—with more explosions, better suits, and a lot more bickering.
The star-studded cast also features Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, and Richard Coyle—rounding out what promises to be one of Prime Video’s most entertaining rides of the year.
Catch Heads of State worldwide, only on Prime Video starting July 2, 2025. Grab the popcorn, buckle up, and prepare for political warfare like you’ve never seen it before.
