Married to Medicine star Dr. Heavenly Kimes is trading her dental chair for the campaign trail — officially announcing her run for Georgia State Representative in District 93, PEOPLE exclusively reveals.
A cosmetic dentist, entrepreneur, mom, and outspoken community advocate, Kimes, 54, says she’s ready to do more than talk about change — she wants to deliver it. “I’m not a career politician. I’m a mom, a doctor, a business owner — and I’m not afraid to stand up for what I believe in. I’m running to serve, and I’m ready to work,” she says in her campaign statement.
Her official campaign kickoff rally is set for Tuesday, July 8 at 5 p.m. outside the Georgia State Capitol in downtown Atlanta. The public is invited to show up in “Dr. Heavenly for Georgia” tees and bring big energy for what she calls “an unforgettable moment in Atlanta history.”
With a platform focused on healthcare access, economic prosperity, education reform, and small business support, Kimes says her years of empowering patients and budding entrepreneurs uniquely prepare her for public office. “District 93 deserves someone who’s not just talking, but doing,” she adds.
Bravo fans know Dr. Heavenly for her unfiltered candor on Married to Medicine, where she’s been a staple since season 2. Off-camera, she’s built multiple dental practices and mentored countless professionals through her Dr. Heavenly University platform.
“Our people deserve real representation, someone who understands both the struggles and the solutions,” Kimes says.
So, Georgia — will you be casting your vote for Dr. Heavenly this election season?
