In a candid YouTube video, Dawn Robinson—founding member of the iconic R&B girl group En Vogue—opened up about living out of her car since March 2022.
“For the past three—almost three years—I have been living in my car,” Robinson shared, explaining that her decision came after tensions at home with her mother and an unsuccessful move to Los Angeles.
After researching “car life,” Robinson embraced the unconventional lifestyle, saying, “I felt free… It just felt like the right thing to do.” She’s been documenting her journey and wants fans to know she’s proud of her independence, adding, “I wouldn’t trade my experiences for the world.”
Despite the challenges, the singer remains optimistic, encouraging others to push past fear and embrace the unknown.
