The Annual Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic celebrated its fourth year with an elaborate weekend sponsored by Bentley Atlanta, Luc Belaire, and more
The 2021 Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic commenced with its fourth annual celebration on Sunday, October 10, at Bouckaert Farm in Fairburn, GA.
Presented by the Miguel Wilson Collection and sponsored by Bentley Atlanta, this year’s event included a “Black Tie Experience,” “Polo & Pumps Day Party,” and “Cocktails and Cigars Under The Stars” events before the actual Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic, making an exciting weekend with The Georgian Terrace Hotel serving as the host accommodations for all out-of-town guests, and one of the venues.
“This was an amazing weekend, and so far our best Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic yet,” said Miguel Wilson, founder of the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic. “Though we aim to make the best luxury and cultural experience, what truly makes this event special is the people. Every guest is treated like a VIP, and every vendor, sponsor, or model continues the experience, creating something dynamic and special for all in attendance to enjoy.”
The weekend started off with the “Black Tie Experience,” a cocktail party and fashion show that took place on Friday, October 8, at The Georgian Terrace Hotel. Guests were able to socialize in cocktail attire, mostly white gentlemen wearing white blazers.
It ended on Sunday, October 10, with the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic at Bouckaert Farm, an 8,000 acre property, located 20 minutes south of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, where scenes Marvel’s “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Endgame” were filmed.
While a charity polo match and designer fashion show were two of the main draws for the event, guests were able to partake in food, alcohol, and cigar, all to tunes provided by DJ Mark Battle, live music from Gritz and Jelly Butter, and guest DJ Frank Ski of Atlanta’s KISS 104.1 FM radio.
Additionally, Ultra VIP ticket holders were able to arrive at the location via helicopter and ushered to the venue in Bentleys provided by Bentley Atlanta.
“My relationship with Bentley goes back many years now. I’ve created Bentley Atlanta’s signature blazers for clients that purchase certain limited edition models. The relationship extended into sponsorship at the first Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic back in 2018. I was new to doing a luxury event and I needed luxury brands to validate us. Sid Barron, the former General Manager for Bentley Atlanta, took a chance on me. Four years later, the relationship continues to bear new fruit with Greg Mabry now the General Manager for Bentley Atlanta. I want to thank Bentley Atlanta for extending its good name, and phenomenal vehicles, to the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic,” Wilson said.
Other sponsors for the 2021 Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic include: Luc Belaire Spirits, Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, Greenwood Whiskey, the Lisa Nicole Collection, SMC Terminus Group, Inc., Stella Rosa Wines,, Whiskey Wright Distillery, Iconic Gin, Redmont Vodka, Sukari Spirits, Villon Spirits, McQueen, the Violet Fog Spirits, One Sound Entertainment, ATL’s Hooked on Hookah, Kiss My Legacy Wine, ETV Media Solutions, and Crystal P Events.
All proceeds from the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic go toward the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, a non-profit organization started by Wilson that helps underprivileged youth gain access to equestrian sports. The organization helps provide riding lessons, horse farm visits for kids, summer camps, trips to show jumping and polo events, the formation of youth polo teams.
Through fundraising efforts like the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic, Ride to the Olympics Foundation was able to create the Morehouse Polo Club, the first-ever polo team at a Historically Black College & University (HBUC) institution. More recently, the organization announced a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club to create eight youth polo teams in Atlanta and Washington D.C.
