We had a special treat at N’Style Atlanta when Merete Fields sat down with one of the stars, Angela Lewis, in the FX hit television series, SnowFall. Angela spoke about her relationship with the late John Singleton and the impact he made on her life. They also talk all about the evolution and growth of Angela’s character Aunt Louie, and how she has grown into a boss in her own right. They also talk about this current season (four) of Snowfall, and how we can expect strained relationships, bonds being tested, and folks being backed into corners.
In addition to Angela being an actress, she also is a humanitarian and cares deeply about the safety of Black and Brown women during the pregnancy journey and especially childbirth. Her own recent introduction into motherhood helped her understand some of the issues that plague the Black and Brown community when it comes to access to affordable and high-quality resources for Black and Brown women during their pregnancy journey. To help combat these challenges, Angela has opened up her own foundation to help Black and Brown women gain the resources they need for a supportive pregnancy–pre, peri, and postpartum.
